C++ Audio libraries to use with Roomba

I'm working with the iRobor Roomba. The aim of my work is to control Roomba in order to move it wherever I want. A valid solution to the problem is Roowifi, it's a device (that you have to put on your Roomba through the 7 pin mini DIN connector) that allows users to control the robot using internet or an application (written in C++). Now I want to modify the C++ app in order to control Roomba using the voice. So my question is: how can I detect audio and make command using C++?
