This is more of a request for information than how to create a driver. The digital audio recording world is constantly trying to find ways to reduce the latency from the moment a signal hits the USB port, to when it comes back out of your speakers or headphones. The more lag time between when you hit or strum a note, the harder (or impossible) it becomes to actually play while listening to yourself.
This article mentions USB buffer/timing/latency settings and how lowering the interrupt timer from 6 to 2 or so milliseconds can greatly reduce the overall latency: http://ift.tt/1684fBj. Somehow, they achieve this with their external audio interface. I'm assuming a driver they created let's you mess with your computer's USB drivers.
If I am interpreting this correctly, there must be some way to "overclock" the USB ports timing. I can't find a good set of information on this. Can anyone explain these setting s further, or point me in the right direction to achieve this?
